Great day out for the Junior golfers of the Matt Daley Golf Academy
On Saturday we hosted the first of a variety of junior development competitions at the club to give the players from the Matt Daley Academy a chance to test themselves in a competitive yet fun and relaxing environment!
Our Head PGA Professional Matt Daley and our Junior Organiser / Men’s Captain John Ward organised the event with the aim of letting every junior have a chance, whether fairly new (or young), or more experienced. We have some Junior Academy tees out on the course which are no more than 150 yards from the green, and our younger / beginner juniors went off these tees and played six holes.
The more experience juniors went from the red and yellow tees and did 11 holes and it was a great experience. We did a little presentation at the end and congratulated Tyler Hewitt for winning the competition.
