2024 Target Golf League Results - Week 6
We’ve completed the 6th week of eight in the Target Golf League and The Big D Ricks have maintained their lead and are now 3 points ahead of second place Pinnacle’s Hole in One! With two weeks left after this week you could argue 4 or 5 teams are still within striking distance of the top spot, but it will require some great golf!
2024 Target Golf League Results - Week 5
After week 5 of the Target Golf League it’s a tie at the top with Pinnacle’s Hole in One and Big D Ricks both joint on 55.5! In this week’s challenges we had a Texas Scramble at Fields Ranch West (Front 9) and a Nearest Pin at Spyglass (95 yards).
2024 Target Golf League Results - Week 4
We had unexpected guests in the 4th week of our Target Golf League, which was hosted on Halloween night in the form of Hulk Hogan and Squid Game! Well done lads!
The Big D Ricks have re-taken the lead by just a single point with a great week at the office! It’s stlill close in the mid-table with just 4.5 points separating 3rd to 7th place so it can still all change.

In 2025 we are making a big push for our Featured Opens, and details are below. Alongside our Spring Open Am-Am, Matt Daley Academy Am-Am, Captain’s Charity Am-Am and Xmas Open Am-Am (which are all very busy) we have four other opens which are fantastic events with great prizes.

2024 Target Golf League Results - Week 2
We’ve completed the second week of eight in the Target Golf League and things are hotting up as two teams are joint top! In week 2 we had an Approach Challenge at Gleneagles and a Driving Challenge at Pebble Beach.
Vertiquake aerator used to help Winter drainage
Last week we hired a tractor and Vertiquake aeration machine for our fairways and walkways to help relieve compaction, allow oxygen into the soil and help with overall drainage on the golf course.
Christmas Parties at Nineteen Restaurant
We are hosting Christmas Party Nights on Saturday 7th, Saturday 14th and Saturday 21st (fully booked) December 2024. With a full house and live entertainment, our Christmas Party Nights are the perfect way to celebrate with your friends, colleagues or family.
2024 Target Golf League Results - Week 1
Eight teams have entered 2024 Season 1 of the Target Golf League and it’s just 1.5 points between the top three teams after the first event!
Tee times available for our coveted Xmas Open Am-Am
Our Xmas Open Am-Am is in just four weeks and it’s set to be a great event with a packed out tee sheet! Last year we had close to 35 teams in and it was a very busy day from start to finish.

On Saturday 28th September we held our Matchplay Finals Day which is the climax of the matchplay tournaments we hold throughout the summer months and it was a fantastic day of golf!
Burstwick takes over Close House at Captain’s Away Weekend
Last weekend our Men’s Captain Martin Gill took a 42-strong crowd from Burstwick to the home of Lee Westwood, Close House Golf Club.
The scene was set for a great weekend as we turned up to one of my favourite golf complexes. If you’ve never been to Close House before I would very much encourage you to go - it’s absolutely fantastic.
Martin Gill’s Europe romp to Victory at Burstwick Cup
Last weekend we hosted one of the most popular events in our calendar - The Burstwick Cup! This is a Ryder Cup style event where players are selected for team Europe and USA and are pitted against each other in matchplay over the course of the weekend.
Burstwick gets into East Riding Winter Alliance
We have achieved a very proud milestone at the club recently as we were accepted into the East Riding Winter Alliance, this joins our membership to the Hull & District Alliance and Humber Alliance which we have been members of for some time.
Wedge Fitting busier than ever at the Matt Daley Golf Academy
As we have been building our ever-improving academy we have invested heavily into club fitting, and our latest addition are fitting kits for the brand new Callaway OPUS wedges and Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges.
Celebrate Burstwick’s 20th anniversary with us!
On Saturday 17th August 2024 we are hosting out 20th Anniversary Party and we’d love you to be there! It’s been 20 years since we opened the golf course and we are celebrating with a night of great food, drinks and fun at the club.
Greens running as good as they ever have
The team have been working extra hard on the greens over the past year and alongside the new greensmower giving us a beautifully even cut, the results are some of the truest and quickest greens we have seen at Burstwick.
Daley ties 3rd place at Europe’s largest PGA Pro-Am!
On Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th July Matt Daley attended Europe’s largest PGA Pro-Am at the K-Club in Ireland, with a team of Burstwick members Lee Hewitt, Jason Hewitt and Gary Atkin and they had a fantastic two days golfing!
