CPR training goes down a storm with members

In light of recent events at the club (see here) we teamed up with our very own member Mandy Roberts (Primary Care Network Paramedic for Symphonie) and with the help of a training defibrillator from the the Daniel Wilkinson foundation, to provide some free CPR training at the club for any members who wanted to be educated on how to save a life.

Mandy dedicated a couple of hours of her time to come to the club and educate 40 of our lady and senior members on how to perform CPR and use an Automatic Defibrillator on a casulaty who is not breathing. Mandy was very informative (and entertaining!) in her presentation and included volunteers from the floor to get involved and give it a go.

As we have seen with Steve Fletcher’s life being saved a couple of months ago, knowledge of CPR and Defib use can literally save a life, so we would like to thank Mandy for her time and expertise in delivering this to our members!
