Arrival of even more new machinery!

Last week we took delivery of two more pieces of groundcare machinery that are going to aid us in improving the golf course at Burstwick.

First to arrive was the Vale Stargreen TD700 Topdresser which will help us lightly sand the greens on a regular basis to help dilute thatch, and create a smoother, firmer, more free-draining surface.

The second machine to arrive was the John Deere 4049R compact tractor which we ordered back in February. It’s been a long wait but it was definitely worth it!

Having two compact tractors (instead of one, for the past 18 years) allows us to do more on the course and increase productivity, meaning that we can do things like mow rough and spray fertiliser at the same time, which is a first for us!

Head Greenkeeper Mark is very excited to get cracking with the new kit and we’re keen to see the results moving forward.
