Work has started on the renovations of our 6th and 10th competition tees which is due to be complete by the end of winter.

These tees have never been up to the standard of the main tees since their inception and we are dedicating ourselves to putting this right!

The plan is to still have two separate tees of different heights and create a sleeper wall in between with wooden steps.

By doing this it negates the need for a slope which therefore means that we gain some extra teeing area. The end result will be that each tee will be eight yards wide by eight yards long, which is much better for using different teeing positions.

We will be using a laser level to ensure that the tees are absolutely perfect from edge to edge to maximise the available teeing space, and once finished we will be installing irrigation and laying down new turf and leaving it to bed in until they are ready for play later in 2020.

Keep an eye on my article in the coming weeks to see progress on the renovations and also to find out what other work we are doing around the course to make it the best it has ever been for the new year!
