Last week we hosted the final of our eight week second season of the winter Target Golf League and it was a very tight finish! We had nine teams battling it out and all of them were awarding double points for both of the challenges in the final event, which meant that some big swings in points could happen.

Going into the last event, The Bisby Babes had a lead of 13 points from Greenies & Co who were on a late charge. Behind them were The Dream Team just 1.5 points back, and Norfolk & Chance just 2.5 behind them! It really was to be a jostle at the top!

Because of the double points rule for the final it meant that a team could theoretically win a total of 36 points (if they win both challenges), and a team who comes last in both would accumulate just 4 points, so there was potential for a 32 point swing!

After the first round The Bisby Babes had their lead extended to 16 points which meant it looked like Greenies & Co had their work cut out for getting the big win, but a strong consolation was that they had extended their lead over 3rd place to 6 points giving them a small cushion going into the very final event of the league.

In the end The Bisby Babes had a shocking Driving Challenge (which was the weakest format for them throughout the league) where they came 8th but won the league by 7 points from Greenies & Co in 2nd place on 110.5 and The Dream Team in 3rd on 101!

Over £800 was handed out in prizes to the top teams and it was a fantastic end to a brilliant 8 weeks of Target Golf challenges, and we would like to thank everyone who took part! Target Golf will be back again in October and we hope to see another jam-packed league.
