Path with raised flower bed almost complete near 7th tee

As you may be aware last week we began construction of a new path around the 6th lake and the 7th tee at Burstwick, with the aim of minimising harm from traffic as it is a particular are that suffers in the wet weather.

The path is now complete and ready to use by our golfers, and the raised flower bed is all prepared ready for infill and planting in the next couple of weeks, which will look a great feature!

The path itself is drained so that it remains dry throughout winter and hopefully keeps the area tidy despite it being a high footfall part of the course.

Please keep trolleys on the path and walk to the 6th green with your putter (and/or wedge if chipping) to protect the grass at the end of the path.

We will next be looking at ways to improve other areas of high traffic on the course such as the path at hole 5, and areas near the bridge. Watch this space and as ever, keep an eye on what our greenkeepers are doing by following them below.
